Course Description
By far, the easiest way to start freediving is to enroll on a course. Learning to snorkel or basic apnea diving is offered by many different organisations, but AIDA is an organisation conceived solely for the development of freediving. AIDA courses cover levels from a complete beginner to very advanced and competitive level freediving. AIDA courses are taught in many languages all over the world and thousands of new divers have found the passion of freediving through us.
On an AIDA course, you will learn what freediving is, how to do it, how to get the most out of your performance and most importantly - how to do it safe.
What You Learn
The AIDA *** introduces more advanced concepts and techniques of especially deep diving. The students will come to learn what physiological and physical aspects allow or limit our diving performance. The students are encouraged to take more responsibility and increase their awareness of them selves and their dive buddy. They will learn how to train effectively and performance oriented and learn advanced drills and equalization techniques.
Course Higlights
his course is designed to continue a freediver’s training beyond the level of AIDA ** Freediver. The aim of this course is to help the student freediver develop the skills and knowledge necessary to plan and participate in freediving activities, independently, with similarly experienced buddies. The purpose of the AIDA*** Freediver course is to improve the freediver’s skills, safety skills, knowledge and techniques for freediving. Students will develop their knowledge and skills of the main disciplines of freediving and how to train to increase their freediving abilities.
The course includes:
* Breath-holding sessions during which you will practice training techniques, learn training concepts for static, and how to prepare for a maximum attempt.
* Dynamic session were you will practice safety issues, techniques and do a maximum attempt with proper preparation before.
* Theory sessions during which you will learn more about physics and physiology for freediving, what happens to the body when the surrounding pressure becomes greater and how the body adapts to this
* Diving sessions, during which you will refine your swimming technique and streamlining, you will practice new techniques and training concepts. You will also practice more rescue scenarios on the surface and at depth.
At the end of the course you will be able to dive safely to 25m and be a safety freediver for other freedivers diving 25-30m.
